Why Does Your PodSalt E-Liquid Taste Burnt?

Why Does Your PodSalt E-Liquid Taste Burnt?

Have you ever taken a puff from your vape and noticed a harsh or burnt flavor instead of the smooth taste you expected? This is a common experience, and several small things may lead to it. By paying attention to how you use and care for your vape, you may avoid this issue in the future.

Not enough e-liquid in the pod:

If the pod runs low on e-liquid, the cotton inside the coil may dry out. Vaping when the cotton is dry causes it to burn. Always check your pod before use and ensure there is enough Podsalt e liquid inside. Try to refill before the liquid reaches the very bottom.

Coil is worn out:

One of the most common reasons for a burnt taste is a coil that has reached the end of its use. Coils do not last forever and will stop working properly over time. When the coil is old, it struggles to absorb e-liquid, causing it to overheat and produce a burnt flavor. Replacing it with a fresh one often solves the problem.

Not letting the coil soak:

When using a new pod or coil, it’s best to wait a few minutes after filling to let the cotton soak up the e-liquid. Vaping too soon after filling may burn the dry coil. Waiting even five minutes before the first puff gives the e-liquid time to reach the coil fully.

Vaping too often:

Taking too many puffs in a short time causes the coil to overheat and may dry out the wick. This leads to a burnt taste, especially with nicotine salt e-liquids like PodSalt. Try to give your vape short breaks between puffs to let the coil cool down and soak up more liquid.

Power setting too high:

If your device allows you to adjust power or wattage, using a setting that is too high may burn the coil. PodSalt is made for low-wattage vaping, so always keep your settings in the recommended range for your device and coil.

Poor quality or old coil:

Sometimes the coil might not be built well or may have been sitting for too long before use. A low-quality coil may not heat evenly and lead to a burnt taste early on. Always check that you are using trusted, compatible parts with your device.
